xsplayground (xsplayground.com, "this site") is a mini game and utility platform that you can use without creating an account. This page explains what information the site handles, where it is stored, and what choices you have.

This site has no accounts or login. It handles only the minimum information needed to provide the service.

Data stored in your browser (local)

Settings, saved wheels, the last edited wheel items, puzzle inputs and progress, and local ranking records are stored in your browser's local storage. You can remove this local data by clearing the site's data in your browser. Sharing links and submitting global records work differently, as described below. When you finish a Maze, Sudoku, Nonogram or Word Search puzzle, we automatically add the result to the existing local records, whether or not you post it publicly. We keep the 50 fastest times for each puzzle. Records may not persist if browser storage is blocked or full. The nickname field is prefilled with the most recently used nickname found in the records on this device. We also store whether you have seen puzzle help and first-play guidance in this browser.

Sharing links and QR codes

Shared wheel and word search links contain the wheel items or the puzzle title and words in a form that can be restored. Anyone with the link or QR code can view that content. When the link is opened, its code is also sent to the hosting provider as part of the page address.

Data stored for the global ranking (server)

When you submit a record to the global ranking or the weekly challenge, the following is stored on our server (Supabase): the nickname you enter, your play record (time, difficulty, mode, and assist usage), the maze, sudoku, word search, or nonogram puzzle code, and a random identifier used to group records from the same browser.

Nicknames and records appear on public leaderboards. Information associated with public records may also allow records from the same browser to be linked. Avoid nicknames that identify you personally, such as your real name.

Clearing your browser's site data does not delete records already submitted to the server. To request deletion, email the contact address below with the nickname, game, and enough detail to find the record, such as its puzzle code or date and time. We will check the record and follow up on your request.

Cookies and advertising (Google AdSense)

Google AdSense ads are currently disabled on this site. If ads are enabled in the future, Google and other advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads, including personalized ads based on visits to this and other websites.

Before enabling ads, we will set up the consent process required for users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other applicable regions. This includes a Google-certified consent service before serving personalized ads in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland.

Hosting and access logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The hosting provider may temporarily process connection data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the service. For traffic and performance measurement the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by the hosting provider — it sets no cookies and collects only aggregate statistics that do not identify individuals.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
